Hi! I'm Trisha Bailey.
I'm here because I have experience in so many of the roles of social entrepreneurs and their stakeholders. I have walked through shame, humiliation, trauma, numbness, and perfection and have come out the other side. I've felt buried in the tasks and work and "not good enough."
I've finally learned the art of counter-balance; being confident that I can tip the scale to the very edge without losing it, then counter to another direction.
As a scholar, multiple-business owner, global traveler, financial partner, mentor, board member, tactical and executive protection specialist, trauma survivor, and woman of faith, I believe the good news of social enterprises is worth sharing.
I am an avant-garde entrepreneur, and social entrepreneurs are my mission, elevating and advocating for them with first-hand experience.
My Story
As a young person growing up in a small town, I felt compelled to get out and see the world. I didn’t want to go to Europe. That was easy and could wait “till I was old.” Instead, I went to Asia!
As I traveled, I witnessed ordinary people, like me, working in tiny pockets of the planet, especially in Southeast Asia, teaching other people real-life skills, with minimal resources. These real-life skills, and the heart with which they were taught, helped people to lift themselves and their families from multi-generation poverty.
It took a long time for me to learn that these people, teaching others to lift themselves from poverty, identified themselves as social entrepreneurs, publicly, at least. I knew it was my calling to share the good news of social enterprises with the world.
Fast forward to today, and here I am, a social enterprise expert and advocate. Won’t you join me?
